Guidelines for authors

The text

The text should be prepared in MS Word format. Font: Times New Roman 12 pt., line spacing 1.5. Standard margins. The text should be approximately one publishing sheet (40,000 typographic characters including spaces). The text must be preceded by the author's data, including:

          ● the author's name, surname and affiliation (font: Times New Roman 12 pt., bold),

          ● the title of the article (font: Times New Roman 14 pt., bold),

          ● the e-mail address,

          ● the ORCID number,

          ● an abstract in Polish (font: Times New Roman, 10 pt., maximum 100 words), and

          ● key words (font: Times New Roman, maximum 5 positions)

At the end of the text, after the literature, a list of figures and tables should be provided, as well as the title and summary (containing at least 1,500 characters, in the case of articles written in Polish) along with keywords in English (Times New Roman font, 10 points).

The Harvard citation system applies: at the end of a quotation or reference to someone's work, the author's name and the year of publication of the cited work are placed in brackets. The list of References at the end of the article should contain all the publication details of the cited item.

 

References

The references should follow the patterns below:

● An article in a journal:

Chojnicki Z., Czyż T. 2003. Polska na ścieżce rozwoju gospodarki opartej na wiedzy. Podejście regionalne (Poland on the path of development of a knowledge-based economy. A regional approach). Przegląd Geograficzny, 75: 23?29.

● A chapter in a collective work:

Parysek J., Ratajczak W. 2002. ● A book publication:

Tables

          ● Tables should have a concise, not excessively long heading.

          ● Tables can be put in the appropriate place in the text, at its end, or in separate files.

Illustrations

1. Prepared in MS Excel, MS Word, or Corel Draw formats

They should be submitted in the format in which they have been prepared. Figures prepared in Corel Draw should not be saved as *.tif or *.jpg.

2. Scanned figures

They should be saved in the *.tif or *.jpg format (if in *.jpg, then choosing the smallest compression level and the highest quality - the smaller the file, the worse its quality, which should be avoided) at a resolution of a minimum of 300 dpi and a width of 126 mm.

3. Figures prepared in other programs

They should be exported, preferably to such formats as *.wmf. *.emf or *.eps; if this is not possible, then to *.tif or *.jpg (if to *.jpg, then choosing the smallest compression level and the highest quality) at a resolution of a minimum of 300 dpi and a width of 126 mm.

● Files with figures are best named in accordance with their numbering in the text rather than in a descriptive way.

The parcel can be preceded by e-mail correspondence with attachments.
